Mo Salah refuses to blame Sergio Ramos for shoulder injury

Egypt and Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has revealed that he has no reason to blame Real Madrid Captain Sergio Ramos for jeopardising his Russia 2018 World Cup dream.

The African Footballer of the year was forced off in the opening stages of Saturday’s Champions League Final defeat and Liverpool physio Ruben Pons claims Salah accepts Ramos did not mean to injure him.

Liverpool physio Ruben Pons is overseeing Salah’s recovery from the shoulder injury he suffered in his clash with Ramos and has confirmed that the player does not bear any animosity towards the Real Madrid defender.

“Salah has not told me anything about Sergio Ramos,” said the Spaniard. “I don’t think he is angry with him. It was an accidental challenge.

“We knew that it was something serious as soon as he fell on the ground because he never complains. We feared the worst.

Scans have shown Salah did not break or dislocate his shoulder and Pons says he is focused on being fit for Egypt’s opening World Cup game against Uruguay on June 15.
