Moses must prove his commitment before he can be recalled – Rohr

Coach Gernot Rohr says Victor Moses must prove he’s ready to play for the national team before he could get a recall to the team and insists the country has good wingers that can do the job as well.

Moses left the national team after the 2018 World Cup in Russia and sighted club commitment as his reason.

Since the retirement of the Chelsea winger, Samuel Kalu has debuted and made Moses’s  position his own after putting up a remarkable display.

However, The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick has never hide his feeling about Moses returning to the Super Eagles again.

Rohr said Moses still has a chance to play for the country again but it’s not longer business as usual as he must proved he deserves to be recalled.

“Victor Moses is a good player and he has good quality. He stopped playing for the national team after the World Cup. If he is playing again and if the motivation is coming from him he still has chance. We cannot tell him to come back but he must tell us that he want to come back,”

“He must show motivation that he wants to play for us because other players are doing very well. If he wants to come he still has his chance but we have other wingers now, Samuel Kalu, he scored a good goal for Bordeaux last week. We have Chukwueze. We have Ahmed Musa; we have Alex Iwobi and the rest of them. This is good for us.”
