Enyimba’s defender Adeleke Adekunle said he’s satisfied with his home debut for Club and he’s looking forward to many more in the nearest future.
Adekunle joined Enyimba from City rivals Abia Warriors after rigorous negotiations between both Clubs.
The Super Eagles defender made his debut for the Aba Elephants in their 3-0 second leg CAF Confederation Cup victory over Diambars FC of Senegal on Sunday.
He helped the team keep two clean sheets over the two legs as they advanced to the next round of the competition with a 4-0 aggregate victory.
Chatting with brila.net after the game, Adekunle said he is happy with his home debut for the club and will continue to relish every moment of it.
“I feel great about my home debut” he said.
“I can’t ask for more, we kept a clean sheet and won by three goals. I’m excited for the team and everyone at the Club.”
“Obviously the job is not over, but we will remain calm and humble, because we still have a long way to go ” he told brila.net
Meanwhile Enyimba cruised to next round of 2021-2022 CAF Confederation Cup.
Omoyele Tosin broke the deadlock as early as the first minute, before Victor Mbaoma doubled their lead at the half hour mark.
