Nigeria vs South Africa: Head to head, Probable Line-up and Prediction

Nigeria will kick start their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title defense with a clash against rivals South Africa on Monday evening.

According to the bookmakers, the Banyana Banyana are up there with Randy Waldrum’s side as favorites for the title in Morocco.

Both sides will began hostility at Stade Moulay Hassan in Rabat this evening and the winner of the tie will likely take charge of the Group.

Head to head:

Nigeria and South Africa have met 13 times, with the Super Falcons winning seven, while Banyana Banyana won three and others ended in a draw.

Both sides also met twice in 2018 edition in Ghana: Banyana Banyana won the Group game 1-0, and Falcons avenged the defeat later in the final via penalty shoot out.

Tochukwu Oluehi is expected to start in goal, while Onome Ebi, Ashleigh Plumtree, Michelle Alozie and Glory Ogbonna are expected to provide cover.

Christy Ucheibe and Sevilla play maker Tony Payne could get the nod to Rita Chikwelu in the heart of the midfield

Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala, Ifeoma Onumonu and Rasheedat Ajibade could lead the line.
