Nigeria will explore more Olympic qualification avenues for Athletics – George

President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria recognized by Nigeria’s Ministry of Youths and  Sports, Olamide George has stated that his board will explore more Olympic qualification avenues for Athletics in the coming months.

This is coming as Nigeria gets set to miss out on the World Athletics relays starting on Saturday, May 1st 20201 in Poland which could have served as qualifiers for the relay events in the Tokyo Olympics.

George speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said there is nothing to be worried about as the Federation have secured more tournament opportunities for Nigeria with three already earmarked for the month of May starting from May 12th with the relay tour in the USA, 25th May, and 29th May.

He confirmed that visas have since been secured for the relay tour on May 12 and that the Federation will continue to explore more avenues to qualify Nigerian athletes for the Tokyo Olympics.
