Anthony Nwakaeme continues his impressive form for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig as he helped the team secure another vital three points on Saturday.
The in-form Nigerian international assisted the winning goal for Trabzonspor in their 2-1 victory against fellow title challenger Besiktas at the Vodafone Park.
Abdülkadir Ömür scored the opening goals for Trabzonspor on the stroke of half time, but Cyle Larin restored parity for the home side, 10 minutes into the second.
With the game heading for a potential draw, Nwakaeme took matter to his hands as he set up Trabzonspor’s winning goal scored by Andreas Cornelius in the 96th-minute.
Recall the 32-year-old also scored a late winner in previous game against Rizespor after coming on from the bench.
The former Hapoel Beer Sheva forward has now been involved in 8 goals (5 goals and 3 assists) in his last 11 games for Trabzonspor who are yet to taste defeat in the league.
Trabzonspor sits on top of the log with 30 points from 12 games. They will take on Gaziantep in their next game, after international break.
