Mikel Obi was absent injured and Onazi Ogenyi still not fit to return for Trabzonspor SK, but Anthony Nwakaeme was on for 90 minutes in the battle for third place against Alayanspor on Sunday.
Trabzonspor, playing at home at the Şenol Güneş Stadium, were awarded two penalties and also had a player – Abdulkadir Parmak – sent off with a straight RED, early (25′) in the game.
The visitors were also reduced to 10-men but they were already behind courtesy a 67th minute penalty by Majid Hosseini.
Hosseini’s goal proving to be the decider, although he missed the chance to double the lead in the 83rd minute from the spot – again.
Victory on Sunday sent Ünal Karaman team’s to third in the standings, a spot above Alanyaspor and two points behind leaders Sivasspor.
