Okey Odita targets CAF Confederations Cup final ticket with Rangers

Rangers International of Enugu Captain Okey Odita has revealed that his team target is to reach the semi-finals or final of the CAF Confederations Cup this coming season.

Rangers earned the right to represent the country in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations Cup following their triumph over Kano Pillarsin the 2018 Nigeria Aiteo Cup.

The Flying Antelopes reliable defender told brila.net’s Oluwaseyi Alao in an exclusive interview that the Nigeria professional football league side has all it takes to go all the way to the final of the African second tier football elite tournament.

Our plans for next season is to reach the semi final or final of the CAF Confederations Cup because we have what it takes and we will work hard for it.”

The 2016 Nigeria professional football league winner, also believed the return of Bobby Clement from Kuwaiti league is a plus for the Aiteo Cup holders.

“Bobby is a very good player, we are happy he has returned to the Club, it’s definitely a good plus and he can help the team.”

Rangers was beaten 1:0 by Lobi Stars in the Nigeria Super Cup clash at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Tuesday.
