Olofinjana Breaks Silence on Grasshopper Exit

Seyi Olofinjana has cleared the air on the termination of his contract with Swiss side Grasshopper Club Zurich.

Earlier in the week, the club released a statement that the Football Director had been relieved of his role due to differences in the direction of the club.

The Nigerian however dismissed the claim and revealed he parted company with the club, due to interference.

“After speaking with him (Seyi), he made me know that he wasn’t sacked but he resigned due to some interference, hindering his working environment to get things done, as well as detrimental comments which did not sit well with him,” an unnamed Source told The Punch.

“It’s very important that people get the right picture and not the wrong picture of him being sacked, but him having the guts to stand up for himself and resign in such a situation and environment.”

The former Wolves Loan Manager was appointed by the Club in 2021.
