The Libyan Federation have moved quickly to appoint Omar Al-Miryami as the interim coach after Adel Amrouche stepped down from his role for the double-header against the Super Eagles.
Reports via Libyan Observer claimed that Amrouche threw in the towel because he has not been paid for six months and that he was mistreated along with his Algerian assistants, who have been refused payments by the LFF – telling him to pay them himself.
The 50-year-old was appointed coach of the North African country in May 2018 and was in the dugout in their goalless draw with South Africa last month.
On Adel Amrouche’s curriculum vitae, he previously coached Kenya, Burundi and Equatorial Guinea national teams.
Amrouche has since departed Libya’s National Team training camp in Tunis, Tunisia.
