Omokaro rates NNL competition high, downplays Shooting stars dominance

Coach of Nigeria National League side Osun United Bright Omokaro has stated that competition in the nation’s second-tier league is high as teams continue to jostle for the top two honors of securing qualification across the four NNL groups to make the playoffs where four will emerge out of the eight eventual qualifying teams.

Omokaro speaking in a chat with brila.net downplayed the incredible run of Shooting stars who have recorded the best run so far across the four groups in the NNL having won all six games played so far in their group and look set to once again make the playoffs where they have falling short in back to back NNL season. He added that some teams have enjoyed favorable officiating.

“It’s a little bit high and we thank the Football body for so far where we have gotten to, there is high competition but Football is all the winner takes it all. I will have to tighten all my tentacles to make sure Osun United come up. On qualification Shooting stars is not the best team but at the end when we must have all qualified there will be more eyes and the officiating will be very open for people to see.”
