Onazi drums up support for Eagles ahead of Seychelles clash

Super Eagles Vice Captain Ogenyi Onazi has urged Nigeria Football fans to give support to the National team ahead of Saturday’s must-win clash with Seychelles.

Speaking earlier today in a brief chat with brila.net’s Chidozie Okoroji, the former SS Lazio Midfield enforcer said the Super Eagles are not taking Seychelles for granted, and as such the fans’ support will be very crucial.

“We will be playing on a very difficult pitch,” Onazi told Overdose.

“And its a game of football, we have to respect our hosts (Seychelles), anything can happen but we are optimistic about getting maximum points here”

The 25-year-old player also acknowledged the harsh weather in Seychelles, “the weather here is hot and on a difficult pitch, you can’t take anything for granted, says Onazi.

The Trabzonspor star, however, called on Nigerians for more support despite all the confidence and the Favourite tag, “Nigerians’ support will forever remain crucial in a game like this after losing our first game.

Onazi is expected to lead the Eagles out against Seychelles when both teams face on Saturday in the absence of Skipper John Obi Mikel.
