Onuachu nets 14th league goal of the season for Genk

Paul Onuachu was on target as Racing Genk secured a vital victory over Standard Liege in a Belgian Jupiler League game at the Cegeka Arena (Genk) on Sunday.

Onuachu led Genk attack in the game and he was supported by Japanese star Junya Ito and Belgian born Congolese player Tho Bongonda.

The former FC Midtjylland man has been far from his best this season, no thanks to failed transfer and hamstring injuries.

However, the former Midtjylland star proved to Genk’s technical crew and fans that, he’s still the main man at the Club — when he sealed the points with a 53rd minute winner.

The Super Eagles star capilised on mistake at the back by Standard Liege defender Moussa Sissako, to net the goal.

It was Onuachu’s 14th league goal of the campaign and first ever against Standard Liege in 7 appearances against the Reds.

Meanwhile, Théo Bongonda scored the first goal for Genk — who now moves 5th position on the league standing.
