Osimhen continues fine start in Serie A

Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen was on target on Sunday as Napoli continued their blistering start to the Serie A season.

The Nigerian scored one of the goals to help the Napoli to a 4-0 victory over newly promoted side, Monza at the Diego Maradona’s Stadium.

Osimhen got his goal on the stroke of half time, when he fire past the Goalkeeper.

The striker who scored 14 goals last domestic campaign now has two goals and one assist in two games this season.

Osimhen could have scored more, but Monza goalkeeper stopped two headers in the first and second halves respectively.

New midfielder Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, however, took the spotlight off the 23-year-old Nigerian as he grabbed two fantastic goals to take his tally to four in two games.

Another new arrival Min-jae Kim made it 4-0 in the 90th minute, while former Napoli forward Andrea Petagna thought he gad netted a consolation for Monza, but it was chalked off by VAR for a foul in the build up.

Napoli have now scored nine goals in two games and picked maximum points from the opening two games of the season.

The victory put Napoli atop the Serie A table with six points while Monza sit bottom on zero point.
