Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen paid courtesy visit to the camp of his former side Sporting Charleroi of Belgium.
Like Napoli, Charleroi are on training camp to Turkey and Osimhen who donn the jersey of the team took a time out to check on his old side, thanking the management for reviving his career.
Recalled Osimhen signed for Charleroi after being declared surplus to requirements at Wolfsburg, a team he joined after his heroic show at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile.
He was then rejected Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge, before Charleroi took the gamble to signed him on a season long loan.
He scored 20-goals in his first season and the club activated the clause to him permanently, before his service was acquired by French Ligue 1 side Lille.
Speaking to the Club’s social media handle, Osimhen thanked the team for believing him at a point he was a bout to throw in the towel and wish the Felice Mazzu’s side all the best during the season.
“Thank you for the constant support, I’m grateful to everything you have done for me . I happy to see everyone again here in Alayan.”
