Victor Osimhen was on parade for Napoli as they continued their blistering run in the Italian Serie A with a 2-1 win at Fiorentina on Sunday.
Osimhen kept his place in the starting eleven, after impressive runs in front of goal that saw him scored seven time in the last six matches for Napoli.
The Nigerian international enjoyed himself on pitch and was unlucky not to be among the goalscorers in the game.
The hosts went in front in the 28th minute after Lucas Martinez finished off a nice pass from rave of the moment Dusan Vlahovic.
Napoli pressed for equaliser immediately and they were awarded a penalty five minutes later, after Lucas Martinez brought down Osimhen down in the penalty box.
Captain Lorenzo Insigne took the kick and failed to beat the goalkeeper, but Hirving Lozano reacted quickly to smash home the rebound.
Osimhen should have been 2-1 to Napoli three minutes later, but his audacious over-head-kick went narrowly wide.
Napoli finally got their nose in front five minutes after the restart and it was Amir Rrahmani who tap home Piotr Zielinski’s perfect free kick.
Insigne created another chance for Osimhen towards the end of the game, but the striker failed to hit the target from close range.
Napoli won the game 2-1 to make it seven wins from seven league matches so far.
