Six games will be played in the Premier Basketball League this weekend (Week 4) – Thursday 11 May – as the first round of the league comes to an end.

The games will be played in Ilorin, Port Harcourt, Gombe, Minna, Kaduna and Abuja as follows;

Atlantic Conference

Kwara Falcons – Oluyole Warriors (4pm)

Rivers Hoopers – Delta Force (4pm)

Savannah Conference

Gombe Bulls – Bauchi Nets (4pm)

Niger Potters – Plateau Peaks (4pm)

Kada Stars – Kano Pillars (4pm)

Defenders – Mark Mentors (4pm)

It will be a thriller for the Abuja fans as the two Abuja teams – Mark Mentors and Defenders – will meet for the first time this season. We can call it the Abuja derby.

Ironically, there will not be any games for Lagos fans this weekend.

Kwara Falcons have not lost any game in front of their home crowd this season.

They would work towards maintaining that record as they host Oluyole Warriors.

The Warriors snapped out of their losing streak when they stunned Customs in Lagos last week.

They would hope to carry on that momentum in Ilorin. We can call this the South West derby.

Rivers Hoopers have the longest winning streak (W5) in the Atlantic Conference. They can extend that record if they win their game against their South South neighbors – Delta Falcons.

Up North in the Savannah Conference, Gombe Bulls host Bauchi Nets with the aim of extending their unbeaten run. If they succeed. They`d be the only team that did not lose a game in Round One.

Saturday will be a rest day as the second round tips off on Thursday 18 May.
