Giovanni van Bronckhorst is unsure if Nnamdi Ofoborh will be allowed to join the group for the coming season.
The future of the Nigerian remains unclear at Rangers due to a heart issue that kept him out of action for the entire 2021-2022 campaign.
The 22-year-old arrived at Ibrox on a four-year deal, but was diagnosed with a heart condition during a routine medical check in pre-season.
However, the player was pictured in training, but van Bronckhorst isn’t sure when he will feature.
“We have to be very careful, to make sure we make the right decisions for his health first,” the Rangers Manager told Rangers review.
“That process is still going. I don’t know what will happen in the future but for me the most important thing is health.
“He comes to the training ground once in a while and he’s still one of the boys. If you see him he’s very good with the boys and very energetic and happy.
“I feel really bad for him that he can’t be on the pitch but the most important thing is the health.”
