Rangers coach Gary McAllister pleased to see Aribo score again

Glasgow Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister says he’s pleased with the performance of Joe Aribo and his teammates in recent weeks.

Glasgow Rangers defeated Livingstone 2-0 at the Ibrox on Sunday to open up a six-point lead on the Scottish premier league table, ahead of rival Celtic.

Fit-again Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo and former England international Jermain Defoe scored both goals that handed the Gers their third straight 2 – 0 win in seven days.

Speaking at the post-match conference, Gary McAllister said the technical crew is pleased with the results in recent weeks.

The former Liverpool midfielder also singled out goalscorers, Jermain Defoe, and Joe Aribo for praises.

“It’s been a positive week with three 2-0 wins in a row. The thing that has pleased me is we’ve seen two very high-caliber, high-quality goals from Jermain Defoe and Aribo.

“It’s a competitive squad, we’ve got two players for every position, and when they get a chance to get the jersey they’ve got to go and take it.” He said.

Rangers moved six points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership following the win over Livingston.

They also remain unbeaten after 12 matches, with ten wins and two draws.
