Eminem is a rapper, but the blend of music and sport cannot be underestimated. Eminem’s knows his football, basketball and you could include wrestling.
The 46-year-old platinum-selling artist, Eminem, worth approximately £91million, penned a contract to contribute to the official soundtrack of WWE 2K20 game later this year. And in an added bonus for wrestling fans, “there’s also an agreement for Eminem to appear on an episode of WWE Smackdown” as part of the package.
Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, is following in the footsteps of Jay-Z and P. Diddy in helping to curate the soundtracks.
WWE are also getting a special championship belt made for the rapper.
With football as America’s most popular sport, Eminem is one of many NFL celebrity fans supporting Detroit Lions, also a fan of (basketball) NBA’s Detroit Pistons.
In September 2018, the Detroit-based rapper, Eminem served as Detroit Lions’ honorary captain at the coin toss for the team’s season opener against the Jets.
