Rivers United Land Tunis Ahead of Club Africain Clash

Rivers United have arrived Tunisia, Saturday before noon ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup group A 1st-leg match against Club Africain.

United, who are Nigeria’s only surviving club in the competition following the elimination of Wikki Tourist, FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Rangers, reached the group stage after seeing off Rwandan club, Rayon Sports 2-0 on aggregate.

The Port-Harcourt based club arrived Tunis from Cairo, where they spent the night after departing Nigeria on Friday.

It is understood that Stanley Eguma will lead his players on a light work and practice session later in the evening ( 7pm Nigerian time) before match day against 2011 runner-up Club Africain.
