Simon Moses registered an assist in FC Nantes’ victory over fellow strugglers Girondins Bordeaux on Saturday.
The assignment for Moses and his FC Nantes teammates was simple, which is to win against Bordeaux and have a chance to avoid relegation.
The Canaries, however, succeeded in getting the required results as they thrashed their visitors 3-0 at Stade de la Beaujoire.
Ex-Gent’s Kalifa Coulibaly opened the score after 19 minutes before Imran Louza put them 2-0 up the board from the penalty spot.
Randal Kolo ma it 3-0 late in the second half following a pass from Moses Simon.
Moses Simon has now scored six goals and registered four assists in 26 league appearances this season.
Recall the Nigeria international also played a key role as the Canaries secured victory over Brest last time out, scoring a fine goal in the match.
It was a golden victory for FC Nantes which leave them needing just a point from the final two games to retain their top-flight status.
