Simy Nwankwo bag assist in Crotone’s win against Hellas Verona

Super Eagles 2018 World Cup striker Simy Nwankwo grabbed an assist for Crotone in their 2-1 victory against Hellas Verona on Thursday.

 

Nwankwo who is Crotone’s leading scorer in the league with 19 goals set up Adam Ounas for the opener inside the opening two minutes.

 

The 28-year-old has now been involved in 22 goals for his club, including 19 goals and 3 assists.

 

Junior Messias scored the second for Crotone in the 74th minute, after he was set up by Adam Ounas who has now been involved in 7 goals in 13 matches as well.

 

Salvatore Molina however scored an own goal three minutes remaining on to hand Hellas Verona a lifetime.

 

The victory is inconsequential as Crotone already been relegated to Serie B.
