Nwankwo Simy emerged as the hero, orchestrating a late comeback to help Salernitana secure a 3-3 draw against AC Milan in the Serie A, on Saturday.

Simy, starting for Salernitana, netted a crucial brace, reminding everyone his potency in front of goal.

However despite his valiant efforts, Salernitana’s fate was sealed as they were relegated to Serie B.

The match saw AC Milan initially dominate proceedings, surging to a two-goal lead.

However, Salernitana refused to capitulate, pulling one back through Simy’s header from a Sambia corner.

Simy continued to menace the Milan defense, narrowly missing an equalizer with another header, expertly denied by Antonio Mirante’s save.

Milan, though, extended their lead with another well-crafted strike few minutes later.

Salernitana showed resilience, responding emphatically with two late goals, including the dramatic equalizer from Simy in the dying moments of the game.
