Nigeria’s Sodiq Yusuff says he hope to follow the footsteps of compatriots Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman to land UFC world title in the nearest future.
Sodiq Yusuf recorded his fourth consecutive win at UFC 246 when he defeated Andre Fili in the early hours of Sunday in Las Vegas.
The was declared the winner by unanimous decision at T-Mobile Arena to continue his winning streak.
Speaking of the bout , the young Nigerian said he’s enjoying his moment in the UFC and hope to land a world title sooner.
“It’s a solid win for sure, and I think I did show that I belong at the top of the division.”
“My people, Nigerians, I’m representing. By God’s Grace, I will also be a champion like my elder brothers Israel (Adesanya) and Kamaru (Usman),” he said after the bout.
