Minister of Youths and Sports Development Mr Sunday Dare says he contacted the father of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham as the tussle for his International future continue between England and Nigeria.
Mr Sunday Dare said “I spoke with the father of soccer sensation Tammy Abraham I London. I shared my excitement about his son’s exploits on the pitch, he was happy and thankful”.
It is believed that Mr Sunday Dare has taken steps behind the scene to give Abraham’s father reasons why it is best for Tammy to chose Nigeria ahead of England.
Abraham has scored seven goals in the English Premier League this season including a hattrick against Wolves last weekend.
He is eligible to play for England as well as his father land Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the sports minister is also making moves to contact the Nigerian family of Chelsea Defender Fikayo Tomori.
