Super Eagles progress excites coach Rohr – dreams of playing in the final

Coach of Nigeria’s senior national team Gernot Rohr has stated his delight at the progress of the Super Eagles of Nigeria following the team’s 2-1 victory over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to book a place in the semi-final of the 2019 Africa cup of nations.

Rohr speaking after the game in a chat gathered by brila.net said everyone is happy including himself and stressed his desire to see the Eagles play in the final of the 2019 Africa cup of nations and ultimately be lucky enough to win the competition.
He also expressed his reservation on the VAR decision inside the game which was called to use to confirm South Africa’s equalizer and said that the team will have to recover in good time ahead of Sunday’s semi-final clash against the winner of the quarter-final tie between Ivory Coast and Algeria.
“The first feeling is happiness because we won and it wasn’t easy especially in the second half. But I think in the first half, we deserve to win this match, we could have scored a second goal.
“You never know what’s going to happen, the VAR was against us and in the end, we were lucky scoring from a corner. We are happy we can stay another 10 days in this country and hopefully we play until the final.”
