Toni Conceição believes the Super Eagles will give Portugal a run for their run, stating that the Jose Peseiro-led side remains one of the best teams in Africa.
Conceição, a former Cameroon boss states that the game is an ideal preparation for the World Cup-bound Selecao who are drawn in the same Group as Ghana.
In quotes credited to SAPO, Conceição said :
“This game against Nigeria comes at a good time, because it is one of the best African teams, has excellent players, and has a football that is somewhat identical to the one that the Ghana team should play against Portugal.
“Therefore, Portugal can get used to a set of situations that will find in the game with Ghana. This game is very appropriate, and Portugal will be able to draw many lessons in the game with Nigeria.”
The friendly between Portugal and Nigeria will be attended by over 50, 000 crowd in Lisbon.
The Portuguese will be without talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, while the Super Eagles will also be missing the service of star forward Victor Osimhen.
