Former Nigerian midfielder Austin Okocha is unimpressed with Qatar following their defeat to Ecuador on Sunday.
Qatar were beaten 2-0 by Ecuador in the opening game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the Al Bayt Stadium.
The hosts were completely outclassed by the South Americans, in front of the thousands gathered to witness the opening game of the biggest soccer fiesta.
Ecuador captain, Enner Valencia grabbed a brace inside the opening 31 minutes.
Qatar, who are appearing at this stage for the first time, failed to respond to the challenge and they slumped to their first defeat in the process.
Okocha had earlier tipped the Asians to get something from the game, but was disappointed with their overall performance.
“No shot on target, they couldn’t even put five passes together. Don’t know what they have been doing in camp for six months,” He said.
