President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria Tijani Babangida has stated that the association is set to intervene in the issue of players of Sunshine stars who are been owed salaries and bonuses between 7 and 8 months respectively.
Babangida speaking in a chat with www.brila.net expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of the players’ welfare at Sunshine stars and assured that the Players union will certainly get in touch with the Captain of the Akure-based NPFL side who is the players representative at the club.
Babangida also vowed to drag the club before the League Management Company of Nigeria to ensure that the appropriate steps are taken to solve the current problem or sanctions meted out to the club.
