Super Eagles full back Olaoluwa Aina was in action as Torino 3-0 trashed Sampdoria FC 3-0 in one of Saturday’s Italian Serie A game.
Aina was given another starting role by coach Ivan Juric, following his outstanding performance against AC Milan where he was outstanding.
Ola Aina was outstanding again in the defence and put in a great shift when he joins the attack as well.
Goals from Dennis Praet, Wilfried Singo and Andrea Belotti won the game for Torino and coach Ivan Juric have kudos to all the players.
“I am very satisfied, as it was a tough and physical match, especially in the first half, but we loosened up after the second goal and started to create numerous opportunities,” Juric told Sky Italia.
“It’s a generational shift, we must be courageous to use younger players who are hungry. This season the aim is to regain credibility, to see Toro fight and give our all on the pitch. After that, we’ll see, but the team needs to grow on so many levels.”
The 3-0 victory lifted Torino FC to the 11th spot in the Italian serie A table with 14 points from 11 matches played.
