Uchenna Kanu has disclosed that the Super Falcons are already looking forward to the second leg 2022 African Women’s Championship qualifiers against Ghana.
Kanu was the hero as she scored the goals that gave Nigeria 2-0 first leg win over the Ghanaians in Lagos on Wednesday.
In a chat with journalists after Wednesday’s game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Kanu said she is happy with her brace and the team is looking forward to completing the job in Ghana.
“I feel really great, I feel proud of the team. First of all I’m proud of the team for the performance today. I’m proud that I’m able to score thanks to my teammates that helped me on that.
“I feel really excited and we are looking forward to the next game and of course I will be doing my job (scoring) so expect that.“ she stated.
The Randy Waldrum ladies needs at least a draw in Ghana to be guaranteed a place in the tournament proper.
