UFC 287: Drake wins $2.7m from Israel Adesanya KO victory against Pereira

Canadian rapper Drake was one of the biggest winners following Israel Adesanya’s stunning victory over Alex Pereira on Sunday.

Drake’s love for the UFC and his unwavering support for Israel Adesanya is well documented.

The rap star won an estimated $2.7 million after placing two bets on the Israel Adesanya to reclaim his title via KO from the Brazilian at UFC 287 on Sunday morning (local-time).

The award-winning rapper was relieved as he was able to recover the funds he lost when Pereira defeated Adesanya last November.

Drake had lost $1.6 million after tipping Adesanya to win last November, and the Nigerian was seconds away from doing so before Pereira caught him with a right hook and the fight was stopped.

Adesanya avenged the loss this time and helped, Drake his huge fan recover his money.

This time around Drake, placed a $885,000 and a $400,000 bet for him to win by knockout, which returned a massive $1.8 million.

Adesanya defeated the Brazilian in the second round via technical knock out after he landed a thunderous hook that sent Pereira down.

Meanwhile Israel Adesanya also went home with an estimated earning of $2 million from his victory at UFC 287.
