Umar Sadiq on Villarreal’s Radar

Villarreal could replace their outgoing Forward Arnaut Danjuma with Sadiq Umar, as West Ham are close to completing a deal for the Dutchman.

The Hammers are in the market for a winger and the Nigerian-Dutch born star Danjuma is the prime target.

Villarreal values the winger around £45m but West Ham United are looking to negotiate down to around £38m according to reports.

David Moyes wants a forward with Saïd Benrahma’s future up in the air whilst Andriy Yarmolenko has been released.

Michail Antonio who is not a natural forward also needs support, despite an excellent 2021-2022 campaign.

The former Bournemouth winger impressed for Villarreal last season, racking up 16 goals and four assists in 36 games.

Meanwhile, Villarreal have lined up Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar as his replacement, should the transfer go through.

Umar excelled for UD Almeria last season and helped them gain promotion back to the elites division.

Villarreal plans to reinvest the funds from the sale back to the squad and they are confident of landing a deal for Umar who has £25m released clause on his contract.
