“Victory like this builds confidence in the team” – Stanley Eguma

Rivers United FC head coach, Stanley Eguma was impressed with the performance of his team in a 1-0 victory against Ottasolo FC of Lagos during the pre-season Tournament.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of Rivers United through a penalty that was awarded by the referee.

 

The Coach said he was satisfied with his team’s performance though it is still work in progress and he hopes that this competition will assist him to build a more formidable team before the CAFCC and the NPFL league opener against Rangers.

 

“A victory like this builds confidence in the team and it’s a continuous improvement and I believe the competition will help build a formidable side.”

 

“Rivers United is confident to see through their Equatorial Guinea counterpart Futeriou Kings in the CAF Confederation Cup when they meet.”

 

“The way we are working hard I believe we will get it right and it should also helps us when we meet Rangers International of Enugu during the league opening match here in Port Harcourt,” He said.
