We are condemned to beat Lobi Stars – Ezeh

Bouncing back from last week’s defeat is crucial for Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) according to defender Chdera Ezeh.

3SC hosts fellow strugglers, Lobi Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Saturday and Ezeh insists the team can’t afford to drop more points at home.

The Oluyole Warriors lost their last home game 1-2 away to Akwa United, while Lobi Stars also suffered a defeat in the hands of Gombe United.

“We can’t afford anything less than a convincing win on Saturday, because we don’t want a repeat of what happened during our last home game against Gombe United, where our fans left unhappily.

“We want to win this for our teeming supporters and fans to make them happy and also to make them believe in us,” Chidera, who scored the 3SC’s goal in Monday’s loss to Akwa United.

The player who joined the club during the mid season transfer, scored his first goal and is determined to help the team with more.

“Scoring for Shooting Stars made me happy, but I was disappointed that the goal did not save us from defeat.

“Nevertheless, I am personally inspired to go for another goal come Saturday (Today) when we meet Lobi Stars, but ultimately, the main target for us as a team, is the maximum points, which we will surely get.”

The Oluyole Warriors are condemned to win this tie to improve their position on the log.

Going into this game, Shooting Stars are placed 12th on the log with 27 points from 22 matches, four points better than the visitors who occupy the 17th spot with 23 points from the same number of matches.
