Morocco defender, Nesryn El Chad is upbeat they can beat Nigeria and reach the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final.

Host Nation, Moroccans will clash with defending Champions, Nigeria at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex for the mouthwatering semi-final.

The hosts are in the semi-final of the tournament for the first time in their history, while Nigeria have won the tournament a record nine times.

Speaking at the post match conference, Nesryn El Chad said she knows it will be crucial to be defensively solid against a potent Nigeria.

“We will have to be rigorous and solid defensively if we want to qualify for the final, no matter who the opponent is in front of us.”

“We must remain strong and organised at the back. We are ready on all levels, physically, technically and tactically.”
