We have the Players to make a big impact — Ajibade

Nigerian forward, Rasheedat Ajibade believes the Super Falcons have the necessary motivation to reach their target at the Women’s World Cup in Australia.

Ajibade made her FIFA World Cup debut four years ago in France where the team reached the round of 16, before losing out to France.

The African power house will battle Australia, Canada and Republic of Ireland in the Group phase this time.

The Atlético Madrid Femeni forward, whose goal against Cameroon sealed qualification for Nigeria says they can do more as a group.

“In France, it was amazing and I felt every moment of the competition. I saw amazing players who did unbelievable things and I felt I could do it too.

“We’ve got Asisat Oshoala on our team, we have Onome Ebi, and other great players in the team. We are playing as a team and we will win as a team,” Ajibade said.

The 23-woman Super Falcons squad are headed to Australia for a 15-day camping exercise ahead of the tournament.
