We’ll go all out for the Federation Cup — Sikiru Alimi

Shooting Stars SC (3SC) forward, Sikiru Alimi says the club can make huge impact in the Federation Cup, after their inconsistent form in the NPFL.

3SC are sixth in group A of the NPFL, with just a game left to play in the regular season.

The team is not contention for a playoff spot in the NPFL, and the Federation Cup remains 3SC’s only hope of winning a silverware this campaign.

“The FA Cup is a different ball game entirely from the league, we will go all out for it with everything we have,” said Alimi who ended his goal drought in the NPFL fixture against Insurance at the weekend.

The Oluyole Warriors will face Warri Wolves this Wednesday in a Round of 32 fixture at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

Alimi played for the Delta based team in the past, and he insists the NNL side won’t be “pushovers”.

“Warri Wolves is a club with history, I once played for the team. They wont be pushover. So we will go all out for it with utmost seriousness,” added the 3SC striker.

Shooting Stars defeated Adamimogo FC of Akure 4-3 in the Round of 64, played in Lagos, while Warri Wolves hammered Beyond the Limits of Ikenne 4-0 to set up a clash with the Oluyole Warriors.
