Secretary of Nigeria Professional Football League side and CAF Confederation cup campaigner Enyimba FC Chibuzo Nworgu has absolved Enyimba of blames after the team’s unsuccessful trip following the inability to gain access to Tunisia for a CAF Confederation cup playoff tie against Al Ittihad of Libya.
Nworgu speaking in a chat with brila.net said the failure was due to a lack of communication by the host team who were abreast of the Tunisian authorities Covid-19 protocol, as well as the Tunisian embassy, should have communicated same to the Nigerian club.
He added that these were all part of the content of the correspondence sent to CAF asking for a shift in date which was eventually granted.
