Embattled President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria Hon. Ibrahim Gusau has stated that his recognition by World Athletics as President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria is another validation of his mandate as the President of Nigeria’s Athletics ruling body.
Gusau who got a declarative judgment ruling in his favor by an Abuja high court last week said in a chat with www.brila.net that the continental and world Athletics ruling body will in due course at the right time clear the air on who is recognized as the President of the AFN.
“I can confirm to you till today that the Africa Governing body and the world governing body recognizes me and know that of course. They are aware of what is happening in Nigeria and they know, so at the right time they will make a comment.”
