Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa’s terrific performance against Iceland at the summer 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia has been as the most memorable performance of the tournament.
The former Leicester city forward scored a brace and hit the crossbar against the debutants (Iceland) to hand the Gernot Rohr tutored side all three points Iceland in Volgograd to put the team on the brink of qualifying for next round.
In a poll conducted by fans of Volgograd Arena alongside the World football governing body ( FIFA), the Nigerian got the majority number of votes .
“By a wide margin, you voted Ahmed Musa’s two goal performance for the Super Eagles as your favorite World Cup memory from Volgograd,” FIFA tweeted.
Musa secured 80% while England and Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane, Egyptian goal tender Essam Al Hadry and Jan Benarek had 11%. 7% 2% respectively.
