Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has terminated his contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor over unpaid salaries according to his agent Ayodele Makinwa.
The 24-year-old Nigeria star was also owed over three months salaries at Lazio during the 2015/16 season before he joined Trabzonspor last year.
Onazi, who signed a four-year deal last season from Italian side SS Lazio, decided to leave the club after facing a recurrence of unpaid salaries.
Johnny Edward [completesports] reported Makinwa said, “Onazi has terminated his contract with Trabzonspor but we are talking with the club to find a solution regarding payment.”
However, Makinwa also refused to divulge the number of months being owed his player but he added ‘not much’.
The Turkish club had last week rejected a €5m bid from an unnamed club in Europe for Onazi’s services.
