Shoretire set to face Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi at Old Trafford

Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the media that youngster Nigerian youngster Shola Shoretire could featured for the club against Leicester City this Tuesday.

 

Manchester United will host Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho led Foxes at Old Trafford as the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side set to play four matches in eight days.

 

Solskjaer however frowned at the fixture congestion and he’s left with no choice than to rotate the squad,with Shola Shoretire one of the fringe players to benefit from the decision.

 

Shoretire has been training with the first team for quite a while and the Norwegian tactician has now confirmed, he and summer signing Amad Diallo could get a few minutes against the Foxes.

 

“They are in contention,” Solskjaer said of the pair. “They are in the first-team squad, they are training with us every day.

 

“I would think that some of the young boys will get an appearance definitely. If it’s coming on towards the end or from the start I don’t know because I don’t know how the players will be on Tuesday when we see them.” Solskjaer told the pre-match conference.

 

Shoretire who is an academy product made his Premier League debut against Newcastle this season but he is also yet to start for the first team.

 

His good form for the U-20 side also earned him a debut in the Europa League earlier this campaign.
