Tolu Arokodare bagged a brace for his team Valmiera in their Latvia Virsliga clash with Rigas Futbola Skola FC on Wednesday.
Tolu Arokodare and his teammates traveled to the RTU Stadium stadium in Riga to keep a date with their hosts, but unfortunately, they departed the venue empty-handed as the hosts secured a 5 – 2 win.
Tolu Arokodare put his side ahead two minutes after the kick-off, but Rigas Futbola Skola hit back with two quick goals from Tomas Simkovic and Alain Cedric Herve Kouadio in the 9th and 11th minutes respectively.
The Nigerian forward restored the parity for his side in the 22nd minutes, but a brace from Darko Lemajić and further goal from another Nigerian forward Nnamdi Chinoso Offor put the game beyond Valmiera.
Valmiera remains 4th on the log with 15 points from 11, while Rigas Futbola Skola FC are second with 27 points from 11 matches.
Meanwhile, Tolu Arokodare has now scored seven goals, registered two assists this season, and has equaled his last season tally of 7 goals in 5 games less this season.
