The growth and development of female football will be prioritize in 2018 according to NFF 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi.

There has been concerns about the stagnant growth of the female game in a country that has dominated the continent, but Akinwunmi assured that the FA will give prominence to issues concerning female football in this calendar.

Earlier this year, the NFF announced the appointment of Swedish Coach, Thomas Dennerby – the first foreign handler of the team – and Coaches for other female national teams.

In a chat with Brila.net, Akinwunmi also called on all stakeholders to harmonize their efforts to give the female game the game the much needed ‘push’ to see its advancement.
