Toluwalase Arokodare was the hero as Valmiera secured vital away win against FK Jelgava in the Latvian Virsliga game on Monday.
The game was played at the Olympic Sports Center of Zemgale stadium, Jelgava city, Latvia in Virsliga, and Tolu Arokodare rose to the occasion to win all the three points for his team.
The home side took the lead in the 21st minutes through Yuri Zakharkiv, but Eric Puncul leveled the scores for Valmiera in first-half added time.
Arokodare scored the winner shortly after the resumption to earn his team the maximum points.
Arokodare who joined the team in 2019 has now played seven games this season and scored five goals.
Meanwhile, his compatriots were also in actions in the game, Olumide Badmus featured and played all 90 minutes for Valmiera, Olabanjo Ogunji also made a cameo appearance for FK Jelgava.
The forward came on for Mark Kurtiss with three minutes left to play, while Emeka Basil was left on the bench for the entire duration.
