Former coach of Nigeria’s basketball national team D’Tigers Mohammed Abdulrahman has lampooned the NBBF latest 150 million naira sponsorship deal with an oil firm for the two lower divisions stressing that the deal is nothing but a slave deal considering the deal running for five years.
The Gombe Bulls coach speaking in a chat with brila.net said the sponsorship deal is a mirage with a breakdown that will see each of the Division been run per season with 15 million naira which equals 30 million naira for the two divisions 1 and 2 in five years.
He stressed that the subsidies and eventual winnings will not be up to the participating teams’ budgets or operation costs.
