Kennedy Boboye and Plateau United tasted their first defeat in the new NPFL season following a 1-0 loss to Abia Warriors on Sunday.
The Nigerian champions had picked maximum points from their opening two matches of the season – without conceding a goal – but were cut to size by the Warriors.
Boboye’s men were stunned early in the game after 21-year-old forward, Samson Obi struck in the 3rd minute of the encounter.
Despite their push for an equaliser the home side held on for the three points starving off everything the champions threw at them.
