Abia Warriors Promotes Coaches to first Team

Abia Warriors FC have elevated three coaches in their ranks to higher positions as a way of making both the main and youth teams more formidable.

The coaches include , Chidozie Uko, Kelvin Ejeh and Emenike Ezeugo.

Former Enyimba Int’l FC midfielder, and National Institute for Sports (NIS) Lagos, graduate Uko, who has been in charge of Abia Warriors Youth Team has been drafted to the main team to join Abdullahi Biffo, Patrick Ngwaogu, Igwe Madubuike, and Ochuba Odim as members of the Technical crew.

 

Kelvin Ejeh, who also graduated from the NIS, worked with Uko in the lower ranks, is now in charge of the Youth Team and will be assisted by former intern, Emenike Ezeugo, the former Sharks, Lobi Stars, Kwara United, Warri Wolves 3SC and Bayelsa United star.

 

Ezeugo, who also played for FC Sehschem of Iran and FC Sheriff of Moldova as well as Nigeria‘s U-17, U-20 and Beach Soccer teams, has just concluded his Internship with Abia Warriors main team after his studies at the NIS and has been employed by the club to further boost his credentials.

 

Abia Warriors management had reached the agreement to elevate the coaches after their meeting in Umuahia.

 

In his address, Chairman of the club, Chief Emeka Inyama said the club believes in giving young coaches a chance to showcase their skills and expressed confidence that they will live up to expectations.
